Fatigue is a non-specific symptom and is not enough to diagnose vitamin D deficiency or heart disease. If it persists, a comprehensive evaluation is needed.
Vitamin D has a clear role in bone health. Although low levels have been associated with cardiovascular disease, supplementation has not been shown to be a general method of preventing heart attack or stroke.
Screening and treatment of true deficiency is done when indicated. Do not choose large doses without medical guidance.
